Practising out of sunny Cairns in Far North Queensland, I have been assisting Australian families navigate separation and divorce since 2007.  I represent clients in all aspects of family law including parenting and children’s issues, divorce and separation, de facto and matrimonial property, spousal maintenance, child support and adult child maintenance, domestic violence and child protection matters.

I have a high settlement rate outside of Court through negotiations and mediation and collaborative law processes.  These settlements are then formalised according to law, saving the parties the expense and stress of court proceedings.

However, if court proceedings are necessary, I have extensive experience in family law litigation, including previously working as a private legal aid lawyer, appearing in the State and Commonwealth Courts for all manner of family law and related issues.

I consider the legal process is not just about looking back on what has occurred, but looking forward to the future a client can build after separation.  To assist in achieving this I work with experts in aligned fields such as financial planning, accounting and mental health.
